fastqc software package provides quality control for high throughput sequence data, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fastqc
fastqc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fastqc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fastqc *
You will get with fastqc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
